Let the person communicating set the pace.
There can be things you want to tell your family even when meeting face to face or writing a long message feels difficult. Nocca is being developed for communicating those needs through short signals.
The person expressing their wishes at their own pace uses the main role; the family role receives those signals and replies when needed. The person communicating chooses who to connect with and when to talk.
Key features
Short words, selected with an icon
Choose signals such as “I’d like food” or “I can’t talk right now.” Words and icons can be added, edited and reordered to suit the person.
Brief replies from family
Family members choose from short replies set by the person communicating. A signal and its reply are designed to appear on one card.
Open a conversation when ready
The person communicating opens a short conversation with “Talk for now” and decides when to close it. They can configure requests to talk from family.
Control how to stay connected
The person communicating approves family connections and controls muting individual family members, pausing communication and disconnecting.
Choose one thing to communicate
This development screen offers short signals about meals, daily needs and how someone feels, providing a starting point without composing a message from scratch.

Brief replies from family
Family members receive signals such as a request for food and choose short preset replies to say they are responding or have finished.
